Otto (dog)
Otto (14 February 1989 – 14 January 2010), also known as Otto Jones, was a male dachshund-terrier cross who, from October 2009 at 20 years and 8 months, was said at the time to hold the ''Guinness World Record'' as the world's oldest living dog until his death in January 2010. ==Biography== Lynn Jones of Shrewsbury, England, had owned Otto since he was six weeks old.〔 He never produced any offspring. Otto suffered from arthritis and was slightly deaf, but still liked to play with the children on his street. Lynn and her husband of eight years, Peter, put his longevity down to wholesome food, plenty of love and regular checkups at the vet.〔〔 Lynn often had to sleep in the spare room in their house, as Otto preferred to be tucked up in bed with her husband at night.〔 He was euthanised at 10:10 a.m. on 14 January 2010 following a diagnosis of stomach cancer the day before.〔
